Local Rules
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES 1 through 10:
Match play – Loss of hole; Stroke play – Two strokes.
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1)
a) Beyond any fence or hedge bordering the course.
b) In or beyond any trench bounding the course as indicated by black and white stakes.
2. ROADS AND PATHS
a) All constructed paths are immovable obstructions (Rule 24-2 applies).
b) On the 2nd, 6th and 16th holes the road is an immovable obstruction (Rule 24-2 applies).
3. STONES IN BUNKERS
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies).
4. ALTERNATIVE PUTTING GREEN
The putting green to the left of the 7th green is a wrong green (Rule 25-3 applies).
5. FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS
All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2. In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief, without penalty, as follows: If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstructions, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which a) is not nearer the hole, b) avoids such intervention and c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.
6. PERMANENT DISTANCE MARKERS ON FAIRWAYS
All permanent distance markers on fairways are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2.
7. PUMP HOUSE TO THE RIGHT OF THE 18TH FAIRWAY
The pump house adjacent tank and metal covers are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2.
8. FENCING TO THE RIGHT OF THE 8TH, 9TH & 11TH FAIRWAYS
This fence should be treated as an immovable obstruction (Rule 24-2 applies).
9. DEER HOOF MARKS IN SAND BUNKERS
A ball coming to rest in a deer hoof mark in a bunker may be lifted and relief taken in accordance with Rule 25-1. Lift and drop the ball, IN THE BUNKER, without penalty, within one club length of the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole.
If complete relief is not available the ball may be dropped, as near as possible to the spot where the ball lay, IN THE BUNKER, at maximum available relief, not nearer the hole. Additionally, UNDER PENALTY OF ONE STROKE, the ball may be dropped outside the bunker on a line with where the ball lay and the pin. N.B. Agreement must be sought from fellow competitors in stroke play or opponents in match play. The above options are also those available for a bunker full of casual water.
10. CHAFER BEETLE DAMAGE
If damage caused by birds pecking at chafer beetle grubs interferes with your stance or swing, drop the ball without penalty, within one club length of the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole. Rule 25-1 refers. N.B. Agreement must be sought from fellow competitors in stroke play or opponents in match play.
11. DISTANCE-MEASURING DEVICES
For all play at this course, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures DISTANCE ONLY. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. gradient, windspeed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional function is actually used. N.B. Be aware that certain qualifying competitions for external events may not allow distance-measuring devices.

WINTER RULES
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE:

1. PREFERRED LIES
When Preferred Lies are in operation, a ball lying on any closely-mown area through the green may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and placed within 6 inches of its original position, no nearer the hole. Before lifting the ball the player must mark its position. If the ball subsequently moves after it is placed the ball must be played as it lies.
2. DROPPING ZONES FOR THE PROTECTION OF FAIRWAYS
For the protection of the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th,18th fairways during Winter conditions Lift the ball from the protected area of fairway and Drop in the nearest Dropping Zone. You may then play the ball as it lies, or prefer the lie while Preferred Lies are in operation. It is not permitted under the R&A Rules of Golf to cut out the “Dropping” stage and go straight to the “Place.” If the ball lands in the Dropping Zone you may Prefer the Lie without Dropping.
