Sherwood Forest Golf Clubs Members and staff are proud to welcome you. We hope you enjoy your visit and have a great golfing experience on our challenging heath land course, now ranked amongst the Top 100 in Great Britain by the leading golf journals.
In 2013 we are looking forward to hosting the EWGA Senior Women’s Close Amateur Championships and will also be the Nottinghamshire County Course, in which the cream of county golf will be present and their skills will be tested to the full!

Thank you for visiting our website and I welcome you to the Sherwood Ladies’ Section.
It is a great honour to be 2013 Lady Captain. I, myself, have been an active Member for 30 years, from Junior to present.
The Club is probably one of the best in the county, providing a fair but tough challenge.
Sherwood now rates at 43rd best golf course in the country. We have held several golf events over the years.
I look forward to April when the English Senior Women’s Close Championships will be held at Sherwood Forest Golf Club, where some of the best senior women golfers will play.
We have an excellent and active Ladies’ Section. Ladies play the majority of their golf on Tuesdays and Sundays, but we can play restricted golf on most days of the week.
We also have a very active Mixed Golf Section and Several Social Events throughout the calendar year.
We welcome and actively encourage new lady members and the website should provide you with all the relevant information.
I wish all Members and visitors a very successful and enjoyable year of golf.
