Club & Course Dress Rules/Mobile phones/tablets AND SMOKING OR VAPING


DRESS CODE 

We trust our guests and members to dress appropriately for a golf club and the guidance below should help you determine what is appropriate:


ACCEPTABLE - CLUBHOUSE

Appropriate golf attire or smart casual wear.

Deck shoes, trainers or sandals

Denim trousers/skirts and shirts.


UNACCEPTABLE - CLUBHOUSE

Waterproofs

Hats (apart from religious observance)

Golf shoes are not to be worn in the lounge area, although acceptable in the bar area and patio.

Tracksuits or torn jeans.

Beach or athletics/football shorts.

Vests, athletic or sports shirts.

Flip-flops or Sliders.


DRESS CODE - COURSE

Smart recognised golf attire will be accepted at all times.

Men's shirts must be worn inside trousers/shorts.

Appropriate golf footwear must be worn by players at all times.

Golf headgear must be worn correctly, with the peak to the front.


The following attire is NOT permitted on the Course.

Any form of denim, T-shirts, vest tops, track or leisure suits, beach or combat shorts and plastic beach flip-flops or Sliders.


PATIO

This is a relaxed area combining golfers who have just completed their rounds or members and members / visitors


The following are not permitted

Vests, athletic or sports shirts.

Flip-flops or Sliders.


MOBILE PHONES/TABLETS

All devices must be on silent at all times. The making and receiving of calls in the bar/lounge areas is not permitted.

Mobile phones may be used on the course in emergency situations only.

SMOKING POLICY

In line with Government Ruling, Sherwood Forest Golf Club operates a no smoking policy.  This also applies to E Cigarettes.

Please refrain from smoking (or vaping) anywhere indoors and only smoke in designated areas.
